Synopsis:
The photo report below is a snapshot of a flat light day with snow showers after 7 feet of new snow. As is usually the case, Friday was the day of the ‘throwdown’ with the likes of Zippy airing OVER Upper Chamois into mandatory landing, backflip sessions, and deep Thunder Saddle faceshots. With a late start trying to locate my season pass and beacon, and all of California heading to the hills, I was not able to get a ton of varied photos. However, it was good…yep.

Storm packs a punch near Los Altos on HWY 280…..
An afternoon break in the storm yields a photo at 95 mph…..
The midnight line-up on HWY 50……yes!
Tallac….an indicator of snowfall….
Its warm in Hope Valley…
Weather forecast said partly cloudy….I think that has changed….
666 double fisting his black coffees….with CATS!
The Wall…slow and cold.
We decide to traverse to outer Palisades for some fresh…Here, Slim skis down the hill…
S.P.C’s brother…skiing…
GDS…powder skiing…
Slim is wearing a bright colored Bogner….
S.P.C likes skiing powder….

GDS hucks Kodak….
MildBill GS’s lower Vista…
….but snow got into his way….I’d hate to be that snow!
Slim makes a right-handed turn…
S.P.C makes a left-handed turn…

After a very crowded morning, we decide that a short skin from the neighborhood up to the Spur was in order.
S.P.C drops toward Highway 88…
MildBill runs it out safely to skier’s left…
mogul5480 likes skiing powder, so he came with….
Slim wore an avalanche one-piece…..
S.P.C = hippy pow…
S.P.C = hippy pow still….
Slim takes charge…
…but the snow is just too deep
MildBill…goes for speed…
Using that xmas tree as DH gate….
mogul5480 discovers the ‘ice crux’…
S.P.C makes turns to happiness…
OMG….it can’t be….is that really 666?
Slim finds the last pitch to be rather BORING…
….too few tracks….
…and only ‘natural moguls’…
Yep, MildBill is happy….
S.P.C…is entertained…
mogul5480 is freaking out on FUN!
Spur on the way out West…
Sun is going to catch some shut-eye before the next storm…
