Synopsis:

While it was dirt in the backcountry around Tahoe, the Telluride area in Colorado actually had a snowpack to facilitate a ski tour. With Angela Hawse as a guide, we headed up from Trout Lake over Yellow Mountain to descent the Fatwah couloir into Ophir. Some variable snow, some pow, some bushes, but overall a great day out in perfect weather.

January 10th, 2012:

Driving into Ophir to pick up a 3rd person so we can do a car shuttle…
